Environment & Sustainability

We take our environmental responsibilities seriously and recognise the impact that construction can have on the world around us.

As a growing business, we’re committed to operating responsibly, reducing our footprint wherever we can, and continuously improving the way we work.

As part of our long-term responsibility, we’ve set an ambition to reach Net Zero by 2035, and we’re already putting the foundations in place to make that ambition a reality. Our focus is on making practical, meaningful changes on our sites and across our business operations that contribute to a more sustainable future.

Our approach

We’re conscious of the impact of everything we do, from how we run our projects to how we operate as a business. We aim to:

  • Reduce the environmental impact across our operations
Make informed, responsible decisions about materials and suppliers
  • Minimise waste and promote reuse wherever possible
  • Protect the environments and communities we work within
  • Support a more sustainable, locally focused supply chain
  • Continuously improve through training, awareness and innovation

We know this won’t happen over night but we want to do things properly, one step at a time.

Reducing carbon & energy use

We’ve made significant improvements to the way we run our business, including:

  • Installing solar panels to generate clean, renewable energy to our office
  • Adding electric vehicle chargers at our office
  • Holding an A+ EPC rating for our office
  • Introducing flexible working to reduce unnecessary travel and support a better work/life balance
  • Reducing energy use across our operations through efficient systems and careful management
  • Switched to a 100% renewable energy tariff for our office
  • Investing in hybrid vehicles and continuing to transition our fleet to hybrid and electric

These changes help us cut emissions, improve efficiency and reduce our long-term environmental impact.

Sustainable procurement & local sourcing

We take a responsible approach to sourcing the materials and services we use. This includes:

  • Working with local suppliers and subcontractors (typically within 25 miles) to reduce carbon-heavy travel
  • Prioritising responsibly sourced and sustainable materials
  • Choosing lower-impact alternatives when they meet project requirements
  • Encouraging our supply chain partners to align with strong environmental standards

Supporting local suppliers also brings value to the communities we work in.

Minimising waste

Reducing waste is a priority on every project. We embed good practice across our sites, including:

  • Segregating waste as standard
  • Planning ahead to minimise surplus materials
  • Reusing products and materials where practical
  • Avoiding unnecessary packaging
  • Ensuring safe, compliant disposal routes and full legislative compliance

This approach reduces environmental impact and improves resource efficiency.

Protecting the environments we work in

Every site we manage is treated with care and respect. We actively control and monitor environmental impact through:

  • Dust, noise and vibration management
  • Pollution prevention and spill control
  • Safe storage of chemicals, fuels and materials
  • Protection of local biodiversity where relevant
  • Responsible behaviour from everyone on site

We aim to leave every environment — and every community — in a better place than we found it.

Continuous Improvement

We’re committed to evolving our approach as the business grows. We’re taking clear, practical steps towards a lower-carbon future. Over time, we’ll continue to explore new technologies, materials and working practices that help reduce our impact even further.
