Keeping people safe is our number one priority. Nothing matters more to us than ensuring our team, and everyone affected by our work, goes home safely every single day.
Our ‘safety first’ culture runs through everything we do.
It’s built on real care for our people, our clients, and our partners. And we believe that when you genuinely look after people, they do their best work.
Our health and safety record is exemplary, and we’re committed to creating incident free, zero harm environments across all of our projects - whether we’re working in industrial units, live healthcare settings, education environments or commercial spaces.
All of our staff receive regular health and safety training, and we ensure our operational teams are fully equipped with the qualifications and technical knowledge they need to work safely and confidently. As a minimum all our site managers are SMSTS qualified and hold First Aid, Temporary Work Coordinator and Fire Marshal training.
This is further supported by IPAF, PASMA and scaffold awareness and asbestos awareness across the team. We reinforce this training with regular toolbox talks, ongoing CPD and continuous coaching. We invest heavily in developing our people because it builds confidence, strengthens competence and creates a culture where everyone is encouraged to speak up, challenge unsafe behaviour and take ownership of safety on site.
We’ve appointed the Building Safety Group as our Health & Safety Advisors. They carry out regular site audits, keep us up to date with legislation and best practice, and help us continuously improve. Their support has contributed to our excellent safety record and our ConstructionLine Gold and SafeContractor accreditations.
On live environment projects, we take extra steps to minimise disruption, manage risk and protect staff, visitors and end users. This includes robust safeguarding measures, noise and dust control, infection control and clear communication with all stakeholders.
