Units 9–11 at Quakers Friars, Cabot Circus

We were appointed to deliver enabling works to Units 9–11 at Quakers Friars, Cabot Circus, Bristol, preparing the space for an incoming retail tenant as well as creating new landlord storage and bin store facilities.

Located within a busy city centre retail environment, the project involved extensive strip-out and reconfiguration works, alongside new service installations and infrastructure upgrades.

Careful planning was required throughout due to restricted working hours and controlled site access, requiring close coordination and sequencing throughout the programme.

• Installation of 60-minute fire-rated hoarding to the front of units
• Mechanical and electrical isolations, including fire alarm systems
• Removal of existing partitions, blockwork walls, shopfronts and tenant installations
• Demolition of drylined, timber and glazed elements
• Coordination with SSEN for installation of new incoming mains and service containment
• Installation of lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarm and ventilation/extraction systems to landlord areas
• Core drilling and breakout of concrete slab to install new foul drainage
• Reinstatement of reinforcement, including welding to existing steelwork prior to concrete reinstatement
