Overview

We carried out at enabling works at units 33–34, St David’s Dewi Sant Shopping Centre in Cardiff, preparing the space for an incoming retail tenant following previous occupation by Gap and Monsoon.

Spanning ground, first and second floor areas, the project involved a full strip-out and significant structural alterations to support the tenant’s future fit-out. Key elements included the formation of lift and escalator pits and extension of the existing floor plate, alongside extensive fire protection and compartmentation works.

Delivered within a live shopping centre environment, the project required careful coordination, robust planning and close management of logistics and working constraints to meet the agreed programme.

  • Mechanical and electrical isolations and alterations, including fire alarm and sprinkler systems
